GENERAL INFORMATION
TAKING
GAME![]()
All divers/passengers
who take game are responsible for adhering to California Department of Fish
and Game Laws. Each diver/passenger
is responsible for all game he/she takes, including the legal size, possession
limits and applicable season. DO
NOT SHOOT OR TAKE GAME AND THEN ASK WHAT IT IS! If you are not sure,
please ask BEFORE taking game,
our knowledgable crew will be happy to assist you, as several species of California’s
marine life are protected! The PEACE is well known for its hunters, therefore the Department
of Fish and Game frequently boards the boat during and/or after a trip. The PEACE will not be responsible if you are
caught and fined for taking illegal game.
Live game can be stored in the game tank located on the back deck. You may leave your game in your bag or place
in directly into the game tank. Please
be sure your game bag is marked with your name and/or initials for easy identification,
as most game bags look alike! If you
bring an ice chest on board to store your game in, please be sure to bring
your own ice as well. The ice machine
aboard the boat can only produce enough ice for use with our soda machine.
Your cooperation is appreciated.

EQUIPMENT
Please be sure to bring all the necessary dive gear for your trip including tanks, weights and your 'C' Card, a Dive Computer is highly recommended. The PEACE NOW can provide RENTAL equipment, so if you need to rent equipment check on the rentals page for all of your gear needs. We will also have the equipment waiting on the boat for your trip. Please make arrangements for any rental equipment well in advance of your trip.
PERSONAL
ITEMS
Each diver or passenger should provide his/her own personal items/toiletries
for their trip, (i.e., towels,
bathing suits, comb, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sunscreen, etc.) Each head contains a shower with a Hair and
Body Shampoo dispenser for your convenience.
Paper towel and toilet paper dispensers are also provided in each head
for your convenience. If you tend
to get queasy, don’t forget your seasick medication! The PEACE normally carries a supply of aspirin/ibuprofen, and has
a fully stocked first-aid kit in case of emergencies.
FOOD
AND BEVERAGES
All of
our trips (unless otherwise specified) include food and non-alcoholic beverages. A soda machine is provided for your convenience
with Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sprite, Rootbeer, Pink Lemonade and water.
Milk, juice, coffee and other hot beverages are also available.
Passengers are welcome to bring along their own alcoholic beverages.
However, we request that you bring your own ice and cooler to store
them in. For those passengers with special diets (i.e., vegetarian), please
be sure to inform the Charter Master or the PEACE, when booking your trip. In most cases, we can accommodate your dietary
needs.
AIR
FILLS
All of
our trips (unless otherwise specified) include air fills. The PEACE is able to fill all tanks,
including high-pressure tanks, up to 3500 PSI.
The
PEACE is equipped with a DNAx Membrane System, which currently
produces Nitrox blends at 32%. Because we are not using high pressure
oxygen, O2 clean tanks are NOT required. Nitrox fills are extra.
STORING
YOUR DIVE EQUIPMENT
The PEACE provides tanks racks along the sides and middle section
of the back deck. Dive bags and/or
dive storage containers can be stored underneath the benches and along the
side of the boat. If you are not sure,
please ask a crew member to assist you. Spear
guns and pole spears should be stored (unloaded) in the Portside and Starboard
side gun racks located on the back deck.
Please do not store them in the center live game tank. Please do not leave any dive gear on top of the center console on
the back deck.
CAMERA/VIDEO
EQUIPMENT![]()
Cameras and video equipment are welcome aboard. There are two fresh water rinse tanks along
the Starboard side for your convenience.
There is also a charging station located in the Galley. The PEACE also provides a TV and VCR for your
convenience, with a small selection of videos. You are welcome to bring your own videos or watch the video you’ve
just shot underwater!
LEFT
ABOARDS
The PEACE
is not responsible for any lost or stolen item from the boat. All unclaimed dive equipment and/or other miscellaneous
items left aboard the PEACE for more than 30 days will be discarded.
We do not have enough storage to hold all unclaimed items for more
than 30 days. Left aboard items such as clothing will be
donated to local charities. Please
be sure to check for your personal items and dive equipment before you leave the boat. If you have left an item on board, please contact
us immediately so that we can set it aside for you. Arrangements can be made to pick up an item
at the boat, or we can ship it to you via UPS or regular mail. Certain items such as spear guns and pole spears
will not be shipped! All items shipped will require reimbursement
to the PEACE for all shipping charges.
PARKING
There are two loading zones near Milano’s Italian Restaurant in
the Ventura Harbor Village. You may
park in the loading zones ONLY to load/unload your gear.
Once you have loaded/unloaded your gear, please move your vehicle to the
back of the parking lot. The parking at
the Village is free. Please do not park
in the red zones to load/unload your gear.
We have provided dock carts for your convenience. Please return them to the dock when you are
done with them.
BUNK
ROOM
The PEACE
provides both single and double bunks, sleeping up to 32 people. Single bunks are provided with one pillow and
one blanket. Double bunks are provided
with two pillows and two blankets. Each
bunk has its own privacy curtain and individual light. Passengers are welcome to bring a sleeping
bag or extra pillows/blankets for their comfort. In order to keep our bunkroom dry and comfortable, no wet bathing suits, wetsuits or wet dive equipment is permitted
below decks.
BUNK
ASSIGNMENTS – OVERNIGHT TRIPS
All Charter Groups are strongly encouraged
to complete a Bunk Assignment sheet. The Bunk Assignment will be posted in the Galley above the Sign-In
sheet. Please check for a Bunk Assignment
sheet before you settle into a bunk.
If there is no Bunk Assignment, we recommend that all single passengers
(those traveling alone) take a single bunk and couples (or those who don’t
mind bunking together) take a double bunk.
